Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information when you visit shanemorand.ai or register for our webinar. This website is operated by Shane Morand (“we”, “us”, “our”). We keep this short and specific: it describes what this website actually does, not everything a website could do.
What we collect
Information you give us. The registration form on this website asks for one thing: your email address. We do not ask for your name, your phone number, or payment details, and there is no other form on this site.
Information about how you arrived. When you open the site through an advertisement or a shared link, the address may carry campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term). We keep them in your browser for the length of your visit and store them with your registration so we know which campaign brought you. They describe the link you clicked, not you.
Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta pixel on this website, loaded through Google Tag Manager. They use cookies and similar identifiers to tell us how the site is used and that a registration followed an advertisement, and they may be used to show you our advertising elsewhere. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.
We do not use profiling to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for you.
Why we use it
- To send you the webinar details, reminders, and follow-up messages you signed up for.
- To measure which advertising campaigns bring registrations, and to advertise our webinars.
- To keep the website secure and working.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent, given when you submit the form, and on our legitimate interest in running and measuring our own marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time, and withdrawal does not affect anything done before it.
Who else handles your data
- SendPulse — stores our mailing list and delivers our email. Its servers are located in the European Union and the United States.
- Google — provides the tag manager and the analytics and advertising tags described above.
- Meta — provides the Meta pixel described above.
- Our hosting provider — serves this website.
Each of them processes data on our instructions, under its own terms. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
Where your data goes
We operate internationally, and the providers above may process your information outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses or other safeguards those providers put in place.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and for a short period afterwards so that we can honour an unsubscribe request. Campaign parameters are kept with the registration record for the same period. Server logs are kept for as long as our hosting provider retains them.
Your choices
Unsubscribing takes one click. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Use it and we stop writing to you. You can also write to [email protected] and ask us to remove you.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive it in a portable form, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Write to [email protected] and we will answer. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and you believe we have handled your data wrongly, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Cookies
The analytics and advertising tags described above set cookies and similar identifiers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the website will still work. You can also review Google's own advertising controls at adssettings.google.com.
Children
This website is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has registered, write to [email protected] and we will delete the record.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting people already on our list will be announced by email.
